Blogmas Day 4 | 3 Steps To Get Silky Smooth Hands In Time For The Festive Season

003Again I failed at catching up with Blogmas yesterday but I am getting there now. This is Blogmas day 4 and I should have Blogmas Day 5 up tonight too all going well, watch this space! Today is a post about how to achieve silky smooth hands in time for the festive season.

004Step 1 – Exfoliate

The first step and one people often forget for their hands is to exfoliate. I really love Salted Coconut from Lush. Not exactly a scent I would associate with this time of year, it smells more like sipping a piña colada on a tropical beach BUT it is really fantastic and highly recommend. Salted Coconut leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth and it’s not drying either.

005Step 2 – Moisturise

The next step is to moisturise, this helps to lock in the moisture so you have silky smooth hands, hands that someone might want to hold under the mistletoe, winky face x20, that’s how many days there is until Christmas btw (well it would be if I had posted this yesterday like I should have, it’s 19 now!) 😀 The hand cream I have been loving recently is Molton Brown Rhubarb & Rose Hand Cream. Again this isn’t exactly the most festive scent to choose but is a lovely hand cream andthere are also lots of other scents to choose from if rhubarb and rose doesn’t take you fancy.

008Step 3 – Polish

The final step for the perfect Christmassy manicure is of course polish! I usually go for a red or deep burgundy colour and if I am feeling particularly festive, which lets face it is all the time! I will finish off with a glittery top coat because if you can’t wear glitter during the festivities, when can you? Today I went for Essie – Leading Lady which is red and glittery all in one.

009 Hopefully from now on I’ll be able to post everyday until Christmas on the right days but I am not making any promises haha.

Love and Kisses,

Sophie x

  1. I’ve never thought to exfoliate my hands before and I have such dry hands – especially at this time of year! Such a good tip. I love the shade of the Essie polish too, so nice and festive!! Xx
